Bed Buddy Report |Findings |
Foamform offers four medical mattresses that are quite a bit different than the typical mattress you’ll find in a store or online. The Top Form Series medical mattresses use a proprietary triple dense latex. It is a pressurized mold injection process that increases the density of the latex by more than three times, which makes this material much heavier, supportively firm and resilient to dipping than even a high-density latex. Heavy sleepers (over 250 pounds) will find exceptional support on a triple dense latex core than any other material. This material is commonly found in commercial grade, high-traffic furniture, which until recently has been cost prohibitive for consumer products.
All Top Form Series mattresses are also progressive compressive. The latex injection process in creating the support core adjusts in pressure to give a gradient of pressure resistance so it feels soft (though is still firmer than most due to the density) and firm with increasing pressure. This creates a single piece of latex that is very responsive to varying pressure for exceptional support. Conventional mattresses attempt this by laminating layers of materials of different density and thickness. The result is inconsistent pressure resistance and the premature separation between each layer which quickly degrade support causing dips and craters. All progressive compressive latex is triple dense, but not all triple dense latex is progressive compressive.
The triple dense latex with progressive compressive feature with a pure silk cover provides a unique feel that is equally pressure relieving and cool to sleep on. The Foamform Top Form Series, as a bed to eliminate backpain, is a favorite here among our team of reviewers for its straight forward presentation of mattresses. It is a bed for backpain management and is made of a good quality. Foamform makes use of different density foam and memory foam comfort layers for the Backform, Fitform and Fullform models and are 10″ thick. With the triple dense latex, the 9” support core would have the same amount of material as a 27” thick latex which makes Foamfoam mattresses very heavy. The firmness ranges between 8 to 10 depending on which model you select.
Overall, owner experiences and our own testing shows the Top Form Series of medical mattress to be of the utmost quality as you can see below.
