Durability 4 – The Bowery is a great build for the price and should be on par with similar builds lasting 6-8 years with nightly use.
Motion Isolation 4 – The Bowery isolates motion transfer very well and should help prevent sleep disturbances for couples.
Off-gassing 3 – The Bowery is likely to off-gass when new but, in most cases, the odors will eventually dissipate.
Conforming 4 – The Bowery conforms to a noticeable extent, but not as much as most beds made from memory foam or latex.
Sex 2 – Like most all-foam beds, the Bowery is not very responsive and may not be bouncy enough for some couples.
Temperature Neutrality 3 – The Bowery may sleep hot for some, but it absorbs less body heat and sleeps cooler than many competing all-foam beds.
Edge Support 2 – Edge support is questionable for the Bowery, as is often the case with all-foam mattresses, and sinkage may occur along the perimeter over time.
Noise 5 – The Bowery is virtually silent when bearing weight.

Bed Buddy Report |Findings |

Brooklyn Bedding currently offers six individual mattress models as well.  The Brooklyn Bowery is a mixed foam mattress. It is constructed with a quilted polyfoam cover, a dual-layer polyfoam comfort system, and a high-density polyfoam support core. The bed is considered a ‘Medium’ in terms of firmness, and offers close contouring and pressure relief for sleepers in the light and average weight groups.

Brooklyn Bedding offers a wide selection of mattresses in terms of composition, firmness, thickness, and price-point.

What Type of Sleeper Is Best Suited for a Brooklyn Bedding Mattress?

Based on my customer feedback, the Brooklyn Bedding mattresses have received the following grades among sleepers of different weights and preferred sleep positions. Please note that these ratings are subjective, and that everyone has varying experiences on different mattresses. Sleeper comfort and spinal support are the most important factors when it comes to selecting a mattress.

My testing process found the Brooklyn Bedding line should also be great for you if…

  • You tend to sleep hot
  • You want a mattress that balances conforming and responsiveness
  • You prefer beds that are thicker than average

We’re your Bed Buddy!!

Our mission is a simple one: We want to help you get incredible sleep, like a good sleep buddy should. And how you might ask? By not only conducting extensive research into the subject itself, but by personally testing out the thousands of mattresses on the market that claim to improve the quality of your slumber.

We really sleep on our mattress research by testing each for at least a hundred sleeps! We do not just compare features like review blogs, nor collate others’ online reviews, nor do a brief test of one to seven nights. No, our research includes a one hundred consecutive sleep test, so we can say, ‘Yup, this is what we found, because we really slept on it!’

We have no affiliation with the companies we feature, and any advertisements that appear on this website not at our discretion. They are there to keep the slumber party going. The Bed Buddy team takes incredible pride in the work we do. We hope that the reviews, news, and sleep information can help you on your personal journey for better sleep. And the job is fun – it’s not all naps! … sometimes… We love creating content that you enjoy, whether it’s on our site, or our newsletter, which you should sign up for.
